Nicknamed “Kid,” Gary Carter was a charismatic field general for four different teams over his 19-year career. An 11-time All Star and three-time Gold Glove winner, Carter was tough as nails behind the plate, setting the all-time record for total chances by a catcher. Kid was a key piece of the 1986 World Series champion Mets, and beloved in Canada for his years of leading the Montreal Expos.
