History
Deep in a laboratory in Alba, Italy, Pietro Ferrero began blending hazelnut and cocoa with a careful hand and vaunting ambition. That was 1942. By 1946, Ferrero chocolates was recognized as a company by the Italian Department of Commerce. In the words of Tom Petty, "the sky was the limit."
Subsequent decades saw Ferrero flourish with brands such as Nutella, Kinder Chocolates and Tic Tac Mints the pillars of its increasingly successful confection business. But it was the addition of the wildly popular, high-quality, Ferrero Rocher chocolate-hazelnut truffle in 1982 and its distribution to the U.S. in 1985 that ensured the company's world-wide appeal.
If chocolate is your bag, you'll want to sample all of Ferreros delectable offerings at Candy.com, especially the new Rondnoir dark chocolate truffles!
